Say Lou Lou are back with a new single “Waiting For A Boy”, and more new music is expected in 2023 — see below.
The new song is the Swedish-Australian duo’s first new music since their 2018 album “Immortelle” and the first of a batch of new material expected to be released this year.
Discussing the new track, the duo — twins Miranda and Elektra Kilby — said: “Waiting for a Boy flows from a very natural and sincere place in both of us, and this process reminded us of the first days when we wrote songs for Say Lou Lou — a feeling of lightness, excitement and urgency.”

Commenting on 2018’s Immortelle, NME said, “Fans of their earlier work will be thrilled to know that drama noir is back in earnest. In the lead single and opening song “Ana”, this panther-like trip-hop Portishead is most torn and threatening when the musicians sing about how longing drives them crazy.
“Then the curtain rises on an almighty classic crescendo worthy of the James Bond theme. Somebody tell Sam Smith that the inscription is really hanging on the wall.”
In an interview with NME dedicated to the release of this album, Say Lou Lou told how they felt “a sense of revolution in the air”. no matter how they want to be fluid. It allows people to see that the old way was very, very limited.”
