Panic! at the Disco officially disbanded after 19 years of pop rock existence.
Brandon Uri announced this on the band’s Instagram page. He is the only remaining original member of the band. “Well, it’s been a hell of a journey,” the post begins. “Growing up in Vegas, I could never imagine where this life would take me. There are so many places around the world and so many friends we’ve made along the way.”
“But sometimes a journey has to end in order for a new one to begin. We tried to keep it to ourselves, although some of you may have heard. Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of becoming a father and seeing my wife become a mother is humiliating and exciting. I’m looking forward to the next adventure.”
“However, I’m going to end this chapter of my life and focus my attention and energy on my family, and with this panic! There will be no more At The Disco.”
“Thank you all for your tremendous support over the years. I’ve been sitting here trying to come up with the perfect way to say it, and I really can’t put into words how much it means to us. Whether you were here from the beginning or just found us, it was nice not only to share the stage with so many talented people, but also to share our time with you. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in Europe and the UK for the last run together.”
Panic! The band At The Disco was formed by Brandon Urie and his childhood friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson when they were teenagers. The date of the final tour is scheduled for March 10 in Manchester, England, tickets for it have already been sold out.
