Facebook: After the announcement made by Mark Zuckerberg, on Thursday (28), that the company Facebook will change its name to Meta, the internet did not hold up and the reactions were almost immediate. The holding that will control Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, other platforms and company projects, went through a rebranding process, but the social network will keep the original name.
Along with the new name change, the company also announced the “Metaverse”, considered the “future of the internet” and which consists of “a hybrid of online social experiences, expanded to the three dimensions”, where applications would be part of our daily lives through augmented reality.
