Marilyn Manson has settled a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by actress Esme Bianco.
According to reports, actress Esme Bianco’s sexual assault lawsuit against Marilyn Manson has been settled. Bianco filed a lawsuit against Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, and his label Marilyn Manson Records, Inc. in 2021. The terms of the settlement agreement are unknown.
“Ms. Bianco has agreed to settle her claims against Brian Warner and Marilyn Manson Records, Inc. in order to continue her life and career,” says Bianco’s attorney Jay Ellwanger.
Bianco’s 2021 lawsuit accused Manson of rape, sexual battery and human trafficking. In the 2011 incident, she alleged that Manson “used drugs, force, and threats of force to coerce sexual acts” from her, and described abuse including spanking without consent, biting, cutting, and spanking.
The British actress also claimed in her lawsuit that in the process of obtaining her visa to the United States, Manson “interfered” in the process and promised her a job in a music video and a movie that were never realized. In addition, Bianco accused the musician of forcing her to work for free in violation of California human trafficking laws and locked her in a bedroom so that she would not escape.
Although Bianco was the first woman to file a lawsuit against Manson, she is far from the first to accuse him of sexual assault. Evan Rachel Wood, Manson’s ex-fiancee, began a cascade of further accusations after presenting a list of disturbing abuses committed by the singer during their relationship. Wood’s experience was described in detail in the documentary “The Rise of the Phoenix”, in connection with which Manson filed a libel suit against her.
As a result of the allegations, Loma Vista Recordings expelled Manson from the label in 2021, stating that it would no longer promote his latest album. Other women who have made sexual harassment allegations against Manson included Ellie Rowsell, Phoebe Bridgers, Manson’s former personal assistant Ashley Walters, his ex-girlfriend Ashley Morgan Smithline and several former partners who wished to remain anonymous.
