Instagram: The month of December is the time of retrospectives launched by various platforms, such as the available Wrapped by Spotify and Replay by Apple Music, which allow you to remember the most listened to songs of the year. This Thursday (9), it was Instagram’s turn to present a resource to relive the best moments of 2021.
With Instagram Playback 2021, the social network remembers the best stories of each user published over the last 12 months. It’s a chance to relive special date posts like your birthday, posts made during meetings with friends and relatives, and other exciting stories.
The reproduction includes a total of 10 stories for each person, selected by the company’s algorithm. But if for some reason you don’t like the choices the technology makes, you can edit the selection before sharing it with followers, adding those you consider the top posts of the year.
This feature comes as an alternative to third-party apps that offer the Instagram retrospective, being the platform’s first official initiative for this purpose. One of the most famous solutions is the collage that includes the nine most liked posts of the year, with the possibility of sharing them in stories and also in the feed.
When it will be available?
Instagram’s 2021 retrospective function begins to be available today for the entire social network user base, but the distribution will happen gradually. As a result, it may take a few days for it to reach your profile, but it’s important to keep the app up to date to receive it faster.
When Instagram Playback is available, you will see a notification in your feed, inviting you to view your playlist. Soon after, the tool will display the stories included, offering the option to edit the selection, if you want to modify it.
Once you’ve set up the playback setup, simply tap the “2021” sticker to preview the selection and share it. The tool will be available on a limited basis, for just a few weeks, and must be removed before the New Year arrives.
