The UK Health and Social Care Department (DHSC) has announced that it does not recommend wearing a mask for healthy people against Covid-19.
As a reason for this decision, the health department suggested that the effect of the masks was not proven in slowing the spread of the epidemic.
The statement said, “There is no evidence that the public wearing a face mask in general has a positive effect on the spread of the disease in the society” and underlined that the most important thing to be done to protect from the epidemic is the maintenance of social distance.
In England, where a partial curfew was imposed last week due to coronavirus, 3605 people have lost their lives so far. It was announced that more than 38 thousand people were infected.
