Chris Evans made a joke about Jeremy Renner after Renner got into a serious accident on New Year’s Day.
The Hawkeye actor was left in critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit after being crushed by a snowplow earlier this month.
The star of the Marvel cinematic universe received a “blunt chest injury” and “orthopedic injuries”. According to his representative, he underwent emergency surgery the next day.
Evans, who played alongside Renner in several Marvel films, jokingly shared his best wishes to his former partner on Twitter.
“This is a tough mf’er,” Evans wrote under an image published by Renner, in which he appears to be undergoing physical therapy.

“Has anyone checked the ratrak at all???” Evans then added, referring to the PistenBully car involved in Renner’s accident.
“Sending so much love,” Evans added, to which Renner replied: “I love you, brother… I checked the snow cat, it needs fuel.”
Over the weekend, Jeremy Renner posted on Instagram information about the extent of his injuries.
He texted: “Morning workouts, decisions — everything has changed this new year…. Born of tragedy for my entire family and quickly focused on uniting effective love.
“I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and taking care of my family and me…. Great love and appreciation to all of you. These 30-odd broken bones will grow together, become stronger, as well as love and connection with family and friends will deepen. Love and blessings to all of you.”
