Brendan Fraser said he still hates the monkey from “George from the Jungle.”
The actor recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show alongside Michelle Williams, who shared the screen with Crystal the monkey in The Fabelmans.
Crystal got her first screen role in the movie “George of the Jungle” with Fraser as the main character, and then starred in many other films.
“It was that s*chka! I knew it was her!” said Fraser when he realized that Williams was working with the same monkey as him.
The actor also said that Crystal’s boyfriend, Mr. Binks, also caused him a lot of grief. “He would have thrown a tantrum and disappeared into the rafters if he had not received the desired double.
“Mr. Binks was a monkey boy, he had to wear a boy’s bikini, and he sometimes got upset, tore it off, disappeared into the ceiling and started jerking it off.”
Brendan Fraser is currently promoting his role in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale, which will be released in UK cinemas in February.
The actor recently received a Critics Choice Award for his role and gave an emotional speech earlier this month.
“I was in the desert. And I probably should have left a trail of bread crumbs. But you found me. Like all the best directors, you just showed me where to go to get to where I need to be,” Fraser Aronofsky said on stage.
“If you — like a guy like Charlie, who I played in this movie —are struggling with obesity in any way or just feel like you’re in a dark sea, I want you to know that if you can have the strength too, just get on your feet and go to the light, and good things will happen things.”
