With more and more TV shows suffering from the cancellation of the first season these days, mostly in the streaming world, it is undoubtedly harder than ever for creators and stars to feel safe. However, no one connected to CBS’s “Land of Fire” needs to worry too much about the near future, as in 2023 it is collapsing more than ever. it goes against the usual TV trends, continuing to grow its core audience during the second half of the first season.
In particular, “The Land of Fire” celebrates the largest three-week period in terms of viewer statistics and demo ratings, with two of the episodes in question attracting the largest number of overnight viewers for the young series. (All of this leads to what is likely to be the most watched part of the season, but more on that below.) On the eve of the mid-season premiere on January 6, “Land of Fire” was like many others promoting the premiere of the series, gathering the largest audience at that time: 5.91 million viewers per night and a demo rating of 0.4 for adults aged 18 to 49. But while that statistic remained intact in the December finale (directed by star Kevin Alejandro), the return of the CBS drama in the new year managed to attract even more attention.
The stressful winter premiere titled “No Good Deed” is currently the biggest episode of “The Land of Fire” to date, both with the total number of live broadcasts on the same day and with the postponed 7-day statistics. See how things are going with this and the next two episodes below.
Episode | Live + Same Day Stats | Live + 7 Stats |
---|---|---|
“No Good Deed” (Jan 6) | 6.57 million viewers, 0.6 rating | 9 million viewers, 0.9 rating |
“Get Your Hopes Up” (Jan 13) | 5.95 million viewers, 0.5 rating | TBA (Live + 3 totals put it at 7.96 million viewers, and a 0.6 rating) |
“Mama Bear” (Jan 20) | 5.89 million viewers, 0.5 rating (non-final) | TBA |
It is important to note here that, despite the fact that the preliminary statistics of “Mama Bear”, as reported by SpoilerTV, shows that the number of viewers is lower than that of the premiere of the series, it is quite possible that the final figures of the episode will be high enough to be the third most popular issue to date. If so, then 2023 is already a significant year for Fire Country. (Just keep the fire away from the flammable banner.)
It is also worth noting and celebrating, even in addition to the impressive statistics of delayed views given above, that the winter premiere of “Land of Fire” was the first time that the show managed to reach a larger audience than its Friday night sequel “Blue Bloods”. The latter drama has long been one of the less discussed weapons of CBS, with such a stable viewership that any drama could count on, having a show at 22:00. The time interval is Friday evening. And although this victory has not been repeated in the last two weeks, the fact that Bode and Co. even once beat Reagan’s team was unexpected.
This brings us to what will undoubtedly attract the largest audience of “Land of Fire” this season: the 112th episode of “Two Pink Lines” will air on Sunday, January 29, after the end of the AFC Championship game on CBS. also available for live streaming and on demand. Check out the trailer below!
It was clear that Max Thiriot’s new performance was important for both the actor and the network when he played his role in the series in SEAL Team to focus on the CBS drama. In retrospect, it might have seemed like a terrible idea if the appeal of “Land of Fire” had faded quickly, but fortunately for everyone involved, it’s an unmistakable ratings hell. All puns are intended.
New episodes of “Land of Fire” are broadcast every Friday on CBS at 21:00. ET, which can also be broadcast by anyone with a Paramount+ subscription. Go to our TV premiere schedule for 2023 to see everything else that will appear on the small screen in the coming months.
