A Robert Pattinson-style Reboot? James Gunn May Follow In Matt Reeves’ Footsteps to Revive Superman in New DCU

0

In the spring of 2016, fans and moviegoers were stuck on the larynx, preparing for director Zack Snyder’s battle between “Man of Steel” and “Dark Night.” However, now, about six years after the fight broke out in the name of Superman vs. Batman: Dawn of Justice, the ideology of James Gunn and Peter Safran has caused a massive shuffle in the DCU world. However, not only this studio is experiencing such chaos.

Matt Reeves has also made significant changes at Warner Bros, appointing Robert Pattinson as a nice unusual Batman at his concert in 2022. Although they didn’t start it from scratch, the dark knight was given a new backstory. And according to a recent report, it seems that Gunn intends to follow the same path. So, with a bit of wisdom, let’s delve into the details of how one titan can follow in the footsteps of another.

Is James Gunn taking a cue from Matt Reeves to create his new Superman? Will it work?

Although the new DCU executives have kept almost everything a secret about their new Clark Kent, we know that a younger version of “Man of Steel” is coming. Gunn has also previously hinted that “Man of Steel” will meet other Superman characters such as Lois Lane. This means that Clark Kent has already gained his superpowers and will become a God-like figure for earthlings.

It is noteworthy that Robert Pattinson’s caped crusader in the thrilling film adaptation of Gotham City Reeve did not have an origin story, but he gave a new beginning to the Dark Night. Thus, it’s safe to assume that the new leaders may be following in Matt Reeves’ footsteps by triggering a Robert Pattinson-style Superman reboot (via Screenrant).

In addition, we do not yet know whether there will be superheroes in the same universe, following the rules, and intellectually and physically strong dark heroes. Despite the fact that both Gunn and Reeves have previously debunked this idea, but keep in mind that the huge success that the 2022 Batman movie brought to Warner Bros., taking its example, can be fruitful for the DCU as well.

However, only time will tell whether dreams and expectations will come true. Stay tuned to get the latest news about James Gunn’s regime. Also, let us know in the comments what you think about this idea for a young Superman.
