In these days when you spend most of your time at home, you can take advantage of activities at NASA, as well as activities such as reading books, watching movies, listening to music.

The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has prepared several alternatives at a time when most or even all of the days are spent at home due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The options on the official website of NASA are as follows:

1. Outdoor discovery: NASA Skywatching Recommendations:
Need some fresh air? You can follow the events that will be seen most of the night sky. The Moon in the crescent phase on March 17, 18 and 19; Mars will meet with Saturn and Jupiter.

2. Indoor events:
Never miss the moon phase. Create a Moon phase calculator. So the Moon phases will be at your fingertips. This work is a free activity created by NASA to inspire and educate.

3. Things to watch for:
The new Perseverance traveler, which NASA will be showcasing this summer, will land on Mars in 2021. You can watch the 1 minute video above prepared by NASA JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) on how to choose the landing point.

4. Worlds beyond our solar system:
So far, we have discovered more than 4,000 exoplanets. You can visit some of these “worlds” and learn how conditions are on these planets based on the science that NASA’s Exoplanet (exoplanet) Travel Bureau does. You can also find posters.

5. Listen and read:
You can find many stories in NASA’s podcasts and ebook collections.

6. DIY science:
NASA’s citizen science projects, a collaboration between scientists and the public… Volunteers who are US citizens have helped thousands of important scientific discoveries. Many projects can be done by anyone, anywhere, with just a mobile phone or laptop.

7. NASA in 50 states:
Did you know that all 50 states in the U.S. help NASA explore space? You can learn how states contribute to space exploration. Then you can answer the three questions below.

Which state has the most NASA centers?
Which three states will be able to perfectly observe the Total Solar Eclipse in 2024?
From which state would it be better to watch Aurora borealis (northern lights)?
